Tree Men Games is a small indie game company from Helsinki, Finland. We are three guys who met in Aalto University's Media laboratory few years ago. In 2013, unable to graduate from the university, we decided to start a game company instead. Before TMG, none of us has worked for Rovio, Supercell or any other big company (this gets asked often in Finnish game industry).
We do arcade games that are addictive, easy to learn but hard to master. Our biggest game this far has been PAKO - Car Chase Simulator. It was released first in May 2014 for Windows Phone. Then followed iOS and Android, and later Apple TV and Amazon FireTV. During fall 2016 we continued developing PAKO for pc/mac desktop, and added whole new game mechanics, gamepad controls and local multiplay support. The desktop version of the game was published on Steam in January 2017. Currently we are working on the sequel, PAKO 2, which is planned to be published on Steam and consoles later in 2017. Mobile devices will have its own version.
While keeping the attitude and style of the original PAKO - Car Chase Simulator, it also gets way deeper. Now there's more than just a simple chase. Enter cities, find your crew, use your mean drifting skills and heavy firepower to loot everything you can. Just don't get killed while you're at it. Money earned can be then used to modify players car, buy new rides and locations. PAKO 2 will be bigger in every sense and still having the pick up and play-mentality, but with bit of influences from twin stick shooters and rogue likes. Targeted platforms are Steam and consoles, with mobile platforms getting their own specialized version.
Coming out 2017.
PAKO is a car chase highscore hunt game. Escape the chasers and avoid obstacles as long as possible. Levels differ to each other and have bonus elements like zombies and tanks.
Game mechanics are super simple two button controls with fast restart. No learning time, no unnecessary settings to tweak when you just want to play a round. PAKO literally cuts to the chase.
The pc/mac version is a bit more advanced. It has gamepad support with car acceleration and brakes, bonus items and guns in gameplay, and also local multiplay up to 4 players.
